Clanfield secured their first Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 West home win of the season with a 3-0 success over basement club Trowbridge Town.

They took the lead in the fifth minute when Adam Little forced the ball back across goal for Robbie Harrington to volley home.

Harrington had the ball in the net again but was ruled off-side Clanfield made it 2-0 in the 69th minute when Harrington’s low cross was turned into his own net by Richard Hudson.

The win was sealed in the 75th minute when Jamie Stalker’s cross was lashed home by Harrington.

Carterton recorded a 4-2 win at Cirencester Town with two goals from Jamie Macdonagh and one each by Chris Mills and Stuart Grant.

Old Woodstock Town got back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Lydney Town, both strikes coming in the first ten minutes from Jamie Prpa and Daniel Monk.

Headington Amateurs lost 3-1 to Winterbourne United, whose goals came Liam Barrett, Ben Dowdell and a late Jack Pitcher penalty. Dowdell also missed a first-half penalty. Shaun Jacob replied for Headington.

Letcombe lost 2-1 at home to Abingdon United Res in Division 1 East.

Adam Bruce opened the scoring for Letcombe after ten minutes, but first-half goals from Drew Fowler and Chris Baker saw Abingdon claim the points.

Milton United and Newbury drew 2-2 draw. Milton twice led through Ieuan Morgan and an own goal.

Jamie Green and ex-Milton player Jason Peters replied for Newbury.
