Stock-car driver James Pratt, from Dorchester-on-Thames, received a special award at the end of a successful campaign following a long time out of the sport At the annual meeting of the Heritage Stock-Car Drivers Association, Pratt was presented with the ‘Trier of the Year’ award for his consistency throughout the season.
Returning to racing after a 39-year break, Pratt recorded a victory at Brafield Stadium, Northampton among his numerous top-ten finishes.
Pratt said: “Our self-built car is made from a Ford Popular chassis and a 100E Ford engine (raced-tuned), the body is a repro Fiat Topolino.”
Pratt is pictured with his two awards – the silver trophy for his win at Brafield and the glass one for his consistent season.
