WORLD No 3 Madeline Perry’s 16-match unbeaten Premier League run came to an end – but it didn’t stop Oxford Health & Racquets from posting a 4-1 home win over MB Nottingham in their Group A clash.
The Irish star crashed to an 11-6, 12-10, 11-3 defeat against world No 22 Emma Beddoes.
But top-ranked Spaniard Borja Golan led Oxford to victory with an 11-7, 11-6, 6-11, 11-3 win over Eddie Charlton.
Scott Handley, Mark Cairns and Ben Coleman all survived five-game battles against Lewis Walters, Mark Fuller and Declan James to give Oxford their third successive league win.
The triumph sees Oxford leapfrog their East Midlands rivals into second place.
