DIDCOT’S Safia Khimji (pictured) bagged a brace of bronze medals in the Badminton England Under 11 Tournament at York. She won the first one by reaching the singles semi-finals, losing to Nottinghamshire’s Isabelle Thorpe.
And she made it double bronze by teaming up with Asmita Chaudhari, from Northamptonshire, to reach the last four in the doubles.
Abingdon’s Jeremy Lu also enjoyed success last weekend, winning two bronze medals at the Surrey under 13 tournament.
