OXFORD MAIL GIRLS LEAGUE

NORTH Leigh broke their duck in style with a 9-0 defeat of Summertown Stars in the Under 16 League.

It was 6-0 at half-time thanks to a Georgea Winstone hat-trick, plus strikes from Lucy McDonough (2) and Katie Weaving.

McDonough completed her treble in the second half. Winstone and Jodie Luker also netted.

Under 15

Hayley Cruickshank and Vicky Standon grabbed four goals apiece as Chinnor saw off Chalgrove Cavaliers 10-0.

Elle Kaplicz and Kazia Coleman wrapped up the scoring.

Jaz Needham’s header completed Kidlington’s 3-0 victory over St Edmunds, Hannah Vincent (penalty) and Zoe Taylor having netted before the break.

Goals from Charlotte Chewings and Keownie Steptoe were in vain as Kennington were beaten 4-2 by Swindon Spitfires, who struck through Hayley Shipp (3) and Niamh Rawlins.

Didcot Casuals lost 2-0 to Woodley United, whose scorers were Nicole Barrett and Zoe Longhurst.

Under 14

Mollie Bishop’s brace earned Carterton a 2-0 victory over Tower Hill.

Under 13

Ellie Larkin grabbed a hat-trick as Kidlington saw off Summertown Stars 5-1.

Rachel Newman and Zoe Chung also netted, with Jessica Byles replying.

Under 11

Holly Wilkinson completed a brace to earn Tower Hill Vixens Blue a 4-3 victory over Banbury United.

Melody Guerin-Ciccone and Ellie Smart also scored, with Ceirah Bell, Rebecca Tuckey and Holly Corrall replying.

Katie Appleton’s treble helped Stonesfield Strikers defeat Chinnor 5-0.

Pippa Oakes and Emma Porter completed their tally.

Molly Wiggins and Eva Wallace earned Kidlington a 2-2 draw with Tower Hill Vixens Red, who led 2-0 via Isabelle Henthorn and Marianne Hauer.

Under 10

Amelia Ellis’s brace helped Wantage defeat Didcot Casuals 4-0, Daisey Grover and Izzy Ottley also netting.

Kidlington lost 1-0 to Swindon Spitfires for whom Charlie Tinson was on target.
