Bicester Ladies returned to the top of the Trysports Three Counties League Premier 2 table when they came from behind to win 4-2 at home to Oxford Hawks 3rd in a rearranged match on Saturday.

In a game postponed from December, Bicester had an effort from Charlie Humph-reys disallowed before Hawks took the lead through Emma Cragg on the stroke of half-time.

The lead was shortlived as Bicester pulled a goal back within 30 seconds of the restart.

A strong drive by Ruth Thomas down the right was followed by a cross to Lilla Venning who tapped in.

Playing with renewed confidence, Bicester took the lead, when Thomas netted a goal of her own after linking up with Susie Miller.

Although Hawks levelled through Emily Black, Bicester regained the lead following an excellent move.

Good inter-play ended with with Lisa Ryan feeding Jan Southam, who smashed home their third goal, having lost her marker.

Bicester's scoring was completed by centre forward Kath Crook, with a brilliant solo goal, in a move which started 30 yards out and involved beating two defenders and the goalkeeper.
