Round-up

LEADERS Harwell began the year where they left off in 2011 with a 55-3 victory at Chesham in the BB&O Championship.

Tries from half-backs Rob Froud-Williams and Andy Lee, which he converted himself, put Harwell ahead, Chesham kicking a penalty.

Five tries in a stunning 20-minute period just after half-time won the game.

Flankers Kev Wood and Rob Douglas grabbed two each, while Lee added a second, and three more conversions. Late tries from Sam Froud-Davis, converted by Lee, and Froud-Williams completed the tally.

Abingdon were held to a 5-5 draw against Aldermaston, wing James Webb scoring their try.

Didcot put up a spirited performance in a 24-15 loss to Farnham Royal.

Trailing 17-0, after the first half, Didcot scored tries through Andy Clelland, Ben Cox and Ronnie Booth.
