Preben Krabben completed a notable double when he beat Ian Moss 2-1 in a pulsating final to win the Greene King ODDA Summer League singles title at Rover Cowley.

This followed the Goodlake Arms ace’s success in landing the Winter League crown earlier this year.

The high-class final contained numerous ton-plus scores.

Moss (Witney Snooker Club) checked out with an amazing 124 (60-14-50) to win the first leg.

The centuries continued to flow in the second leg which was won by Krabben in just 17 darts, with scores of of 81, 100, 140, 140, 20 plus a double ten.

The players traded high scores in the decider, leaving Moss with a double ten for the match.

But he narrowly missed with all three darts, and Krabben checked out on double eight to capture the title.

It was business as usual in the ladies singles final, as Kim Ledbury (Nuffield Bar) landed her fifth singles crown in the last six years.

But she was made to work hard to secure her fourth consecutive crown by her team mate Megan Curtis.

Appearing in her first final, Curtis took the first leg .

Ledbury levelled the match, and then built up a big lead in the decider.

Missed doubles allowed Curtis to close the gap, before Ledbury clinched it with a double one.

After losing in the Winter League pairs final in June, Aaron Stevens and Stuart Dutton (Rileys SC) made amends by defeating Steve Pladdys and Geordie Grant (Rose Hill CC) 2-0 to take the Summer equivalent.

The ladies pairs title was won by Paulette Guy and Hazel Prowton (Nuffield Bar), who defeated the Red Lion pairing of Catherine Rouse and Iris Doyle 2-1.

Premier Division champions Florence Park CC A proved too strong for Section 2 side Vikings SC in the Margaret Davies Memorial Cup (ladies seven-a-side) final.

Wins for Angie Pointin, Jo Gleed, Clare Bywaters and Angie Godfrey gave Florence Park a 4-1 success to complete the double for the third year in a row.

Chris Gerkin claimed Vik-ings’ consolation.
