The former Oxford Harlequins man replaces Tommy Haynes on the left wing as the only change to the side that beat Dings Crusaders last week.

Speedster Christoph Bart, a try scorer against Dings, moves to the right wing, while captain Tom Allen continues at full back and James Comben at fly half.

Lock James Winterbottom and flanker Ryan Crossland have both recovered from knocks sustained last week.

Chinnor and Oxford Harlequins have both received byes in the first round of the Oxfordshire Cup, so get a week off.

Banbury have a busy weekend, hosting Bugbrooke in round three of the Midlands Intermediate Cup tomorrow and then entertaining Wallingford in the Oxfordshire Cup on Sunday.

Captain Eddie Phillips said: “We are just juggling it about a bit at the moment. We have not confirmed the teams.

“I think two-thirds to three-quarters of the players will play both.

“Hopefully, we will give it a good shot and see where we get to.

“Our league form has not been that good, but our cup form has been better.

“Fingers-crossed, this weekend will give us a kick start.”

The other county cup tie sees Oxford Brookes University take on Oxford University Greyhounds at Iffley Road on Monday night in what is traditionally a passionate encounter.

The winners will join Henley, Witney, Alchester, Grove, Oxford Harlequins and Chinnor in the second-round draw.

Oxfordshire RFU president Doug Bosley will make the draw after Monday’s match at Iffley Road.
