Rob Belcher scored after only 20 seconds as Freeland Res edged to a 2-1 victory at Oxford University Press Res in Oxfordshire Senior League Division 2.

Belcher put them ahead with a cool finish, only for Phil McCabe to chip the equaliser over Jamie Flood in the Freeland goal.

After the break, Steve Carvey scored the winner.

Slade Farm United Res defeated Adderbury Park Res 3-1, thanks to goals from Callum Wynne, Geoff Bresbrode and Adam Mercer.

Wynne opened the scoring from Cameron Macpherson’s long throw in, only for Lee Timms to equalise from the penalty spot after a foul by Matthew Hobbs.

After the break, veteran Geoff Bresbrode restored Slade’s lead with a spectacular drive from the edge of the box.

And the points were safe when a Mercer penalty squeezed under the keeper after Sam Barker was fouled.

Eynsham Res continued their good run with a 3-0 win against Marston Saints Res, thanks to goals from Tom McCudden (2) and Liam Rainbow.

Elliot O’Brien bagged a four-timer as Horspath Res thrashed Oakley Res 10-2 in Division 3.

Nigel Collins (2), Sebastian Warner, James Beesley, Rhys Melville, and Jamie Smith wrapped-up the rout.

Jamie Smith and Jack Moeran were the scorers for Oakley.

Broughton & North Newington Res battled back from a goal down as they edged to a 2-1 win against North Oxford Res.

Luke Trotman gave North Oxford the lead from close range, only for Gareth Davies to head the equaliser.

Ian Keen then got the winner, when he finished off a neat passing move.

Jordan Trevelyan celebrated his birthday with a goal as Kennington United Res crushed Watlington Res 4-0.

Dan Croad, Stuart Dunham and Joe Hill completed their tally.
