DAN Spencer scored a hat-trick of tries as Bicester defeated Gosford All Blacks 43-21 in the BB&O Premier Division.

No 8 Spencer powered over for Bicester’s opener on 12 minutes, then converted the first of a debut double from wing Jamie Bruce-Crampton.

The hosts led 19-0 at half-time after Spencer touched down from a five-metre scrum and converted his own effort.

Wing Dave Aslett bagged Bicester’s fourth try, fly half Steve Risbridger converting, while lock Will Morris powered over for Spencer to convert.

Gosford woke up, with centre James Barrett picking up a loose ball to score, Tim Ellis converting.

Spencer completed his treble before Ellis scored and converted for Gosford.

Prop Tony Baughan notched Gosford’s third, Ellis converting, but Bruce-Crampton had the final say.

Harwell went top of the BB&O Championship after battering Winslow 98-0.

Joe Pigott and Gavin Wilde ran in four tries apiece, while Joe Cantwell added a brace.

Dave Paton, Kev Wood, Mark Baker, Sam Froud-Davis, Rob Froud-Williams and Andy Lee completed the 16-try haul, with Lee kicking nine conversions.

Abingdon edged out Didcot in 19-14 in their local derby, thanks to tries from centre Tim Darby (2) and No 8 Paul Cross, fly half Mark Roberts converting two.

Didcot replied with tries from Ben Cox and Andy Clelland, Paul Costello converting both.

A try double from Alfie Wood proved in vain as Wheatley lost 31-22 to Faringdon.

Adam Ford and Rory Stevens also went over for Wheatley, with Jason Layman kicking one conversion.
