Stourport Swifts 0
Didcot Tn 1
(Stanley 54)
Didcot Town skipper Alex Stanley had a 28th birthday to remember with the winner against Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West's bottom club, Stourport Swifts, on his 100th appearance for the Railwaymen.
Didcot thought they’d taken an early lead when Danny Seward forced the ball home at a corner, but he was harshly penalised for a push.
Stourport’s task was made significantly harder when Lee Mussells was shown a red card for a horror tackle on Didcot full back Kevin Halliday in the 28th minute.
The winner came 13 minutes after the break when Stanley took advantage of a parried shot by Swifts’ keeper Hayden Whitcombe to drive firmly home.
The visitors almost doubled the lead when Steve Davis fired a half-volley into the side-netting from an excellent cross from Halliday.
