Josh McEachran is included in the Chelsea squad for today’s lunch-time derby at home to Arsenal amid increasing interest from Swansea, City who want to take him on loan.
The promising 18-year England Under 21 international from Kirtlington, has played in only one Premier League game this season– and that as a substitute.
However, he was in the starting line-up for the Carling Cup victory over Everton in midweek before being substituted.
Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas revealed this week that he is prepared to allow his midfield starlet to join another club on loan for first-team experience Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers reiterated his interest in McEachran him on loan.
Rodgers, a former Chelsea coach, said: “I need to have a conversation at length withChelsea.”
“Josh is not playing at the moment, he is on the bench, although he played Everton.
“He is a wonderful talent and the positive thing is that clubs see Swansea as a club that can develop such talents.
“I think Chelsea understand he will need to get some games and when that moment comes he is certainly a player who would do terrific here.”
