Ashton extended their lead to two points at the top of Division 1 in the Gentworks Oxford League after seeing off Fieldside 2-1.
Mike Chapman (+70) beat Ashton’s Kevin Leach (+100) 150-80, but Calum Vinall (+90) levelled with a 200-163 victory over Fieldside’s Paul Robinson (-60), whose breaks of 42 and 30 proved in vain.
Fieldside’s Bob Chivers (-30) compiled breaks of 21 and 22, but lost the decider 200-188 to Pete Fenn (+60).
Littlemore Royal British Legion stayed top of Division 2 following their 2-1 defeat of New Club, with Matthew Challen having visits of 26, 23 and 37 run out.
