DIVISION 1 in the Oxford & District Table Tennis Associationis beginning to look like a two-horse race.

Vikings A are in front by a nose after chalking up their second consecutive 10-0 win. This week’s unlucky victims were Forum B.

Hot on their heels, Holton A swept third placed Bicester A aside 8-2. Tony Gorman won the two for Bicester, but even he came unstuck against Elson Costa.

In a closely fought mid-table battle, Kidlington Forum A drew with British Rail.

Karl Bushell gave Forum the chance of a win with his maximum, but Greg Donovan and James Lovelock evened this up with two wins apiece.

BR’s Sam Cairns’s 14-12 victory in the deciding game against Greg Boone was crucial, and it ensured her team would share the points.

In Division 2, Vikings C beat Haddenham A 10-0 to elevate themselves up to third place in the table and give Vikings the top three places.
