Chinnor face an early examination of their promotion credentials when they host Redingensians in National 3 South West tomorrow (2.30).

The ambitious Berkshire side are tipped to be up there at the end of the season and have formed a new academy with Reading University.

Bowers said: “We were a bit rusty for the first 20 minutes, but once we got into our stride, we won pretty comfortably.

“We were pleased to get off to a flier and hopefully we can continue our form on the road.”
