Former Oxford United chairman Firoz Kassam is reportedly in talks with League Two Plymouth about a possible takeover.

The Pilgrims are in administration and are close to a deal with local businessman Kevin Heaney.

But the Oxford Mail understands that Kassam is also interested in helping save Plymouth, in a deal that would see him own Argyle’s Home Park ground and the land around it, with chairman Peter Ridsdale taking over the football side.
