Season preview
Midlands 2 West South
BANBURY Bulls captain Eddie Phillips says they owe it to their supporters to put in a strong campaign.
Bulls, who have a largely unchanged squad, were relegated from Midlands 1 West after some very lacklustre displays.
Phillips retains the role he assumed after Sean Bannister broke his leg last season, while James Kerr joins as head coach.
“We feel we have some making up to do after last year’s relegation,” said Phillips, whose side have moved from the east to west region.
“And I know the lads are keen to repay the support the whole club showed us last year.
“It’ll be a tough league as all three relegated teams have come down into the same division, but we are still hoping for good things.
“We hope to be up there come the end of the season, but we’ll just take it a game at a time and look to improve as the season goes on.”
IN: Jed Boyle (wing, Kenilworth), Ian Isham (front row, university), Michael Bosworth (front row, returning from injury).
OUT: None.
LAST SEASON: 13th (Midlands 1 West). PREDICTION: Top six.
