Division 1 new boys Stanton Harcourt suffered a 10-1 mauling in their opener against Chipping Norton Town in Witney & District FA.

James Harri led the way with a four-timer, while Warwick Tompkins grabbed a hat-trick.

Arrun Witham, Reece Bayliss and Jordan Newman completed the rout.

Martin Cripps had earlier equalised for Stanton.

Bampton Town marked their return to the Witney & District FA by hammering Brize Norton Res 8-0 in Division 2.

Bampton, who are back in the fold following a spell in the North Berks League, proved too good for Brize as Steve Freeman and Jamie Austin bagged a double apiece.

Chris Allinson, Jack Green, Olly Hawkins and Mark O’Brien scored the other goals.

Newly-promoted FC Hollybush got off to a flying start with a 5-2 victory over Tackley in Division 3.

Ed Brookes, Paul Dray, Darren Aston, Dan Tasker and Dean Spivey scored their goals, while Jake Cook and Ryan Wearing replied.

Frank Webb smashed a seven-timer as Corinthians hammered new boys Burford 12-3 in Division 4.

Karl Indge added a hat-trick, with Rob Bowles and Graham Cuidiskis also on target.
