Next Saturday’s home game against Burton will see the biggest gate at the Kassam Stadium this year.
Backed by club sponsors Bridle Insurance, tickets for the match can be snapped up at more than £6 cheaper than normal.
And such has been the demand, the club are likely to have to to open up at least one extra block in the North Stand to accommodate more Oxford supporters.
Last year, 9,440 turned up for the game against Macclesfield on December 28, and while getting near to that target will be a big ask, sales at the same point this year are better.
As well as the football, there will be plenty of fun for the family with games and entertainment all around the ground.
United’s ticket office manager Matt Everett said: “The usual North Stand home areas and central South Stand areas are already virtually sold out.”
Tickets can be bought at the reduced rate up to 5.30pm on the Friday.
