Zara Phillips is among a stellar cast and record entry who will battle it out at the Fidelity Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials at Woodstock from September 8-11.

Phillips along with top British-based stars William Fox-Pitt and Mark Todd will face competition from riders from Austra-lia, Japan and South Africa in an event which also doubles as an Olympic team qualifier.

Spectators will have the opportunity to see riders in action twice over the cross country course with the CCI*** class taking place on the Saturday and the the eight and nine-year-old CIC*** class on the Sunday.

The latter competition has become a marker for up-and- coming talent as shown with Todd’s, NZB Land Vision, who emerged the victor of this class at Blenheim last year, en-route to winning Badminton this spring.

Anticipating the interest this year, the organising committee has introduced a policy which will guarantee a minimum number of British and overseas rider places and limit the number of multiple horse entries, before then reverting to a ballot based on points.
