HORSPATH captain Adam Krol says it is win or bust tomorrow as they visit Dinton in Division 2 West.

Basement boys Horspath are 19 points adrift of safety with three games to play, having won just once this campaign.

“Staying up is not impossible, but we need to win on Saturday, really,” said Krol.

“None of the teams around us are playing each other, so it is a really big weekend.”

Batsman Tim Hutchison has returned home to Australia, so Oxfordshire Under 17 all-rounder Jack Biggs comes in.

Biggs will be hoping to emulate the success of fellow teenager Joey Todd, who scored his maiden Home Counties 50 last week.

“Jack is among a group of three or four young lads who have been pushing hard for a place,” said Krol.

“He thoroughly deserves his chance. He has got a bit about him. I know he won’t be fazed by it.”

Thame Town welcome back young seamer Will Rooney for their home game with Harefield, but are without the unavailable James Neilson, Chris Beardall and Ed Goggs.

With only 13 points separating them and second-from-bottom Gerrards Cross, vice-captain Michael Higgs knows Thame are in a battle.

He said: “It is going to be an exciting last three games.

“It is a change from last year when we were safe by this point.”

Chris Eaton replaces Andrew Tolson for Aston Rowant’s trip to Farnham Royal.

Chairman Gary Condon said: “On our day, we can beat anybody, but we really ned to get one more win to be safe.”

Nick Ferraby returns for Oxford’s Division 1 clash at home to Henley, but fellow batsman Dan King is unavailable.

Skipper Jason Harrison saw positive signs in last week’s draw with Radlett, but expects in-form Henley to pose a stern test.

“Henley are on a bit of a run, so it will be a great challenge, but I know we are up for it,” he said.

“We want to finish as high up the table as possible.”

Batsmen Sam Cheshire and Shahbaz Ali come in for unavailable pair Luke Radford and Ian Tew as Banbury host Tring Park.

Banbury have slipped to seventh in the table, but captain Ian Hawtin said there no relegation fears.

“I think we are quite confident that we will pick up enough points not to get sucked in,” he said.

“Our form of late has been disappointing with the bat to say the least, but having Luke Ryan back has been a real plus.”
