Stuart Hole was sent off as North Leigh crashed to defeat against Mangotsfield United in Evo-Stick Southern League Division 1 South & West at Eynsham Park.
North Leigh were leading 1-0 after John Mills’s shot went in off defender Alex Hoyle for an own goal when Hole was given his marching orders following a clash with Mangotsfield striker Tom Knighton in the 28th minute.
Knighton scored the resulting penalty to add to North Leigh’s woes.
Five minutes later, Knighton fired Mangotsfield ahead with a low left-foot shot that beat keeper Sam Warrell.
North Leigh battled hard for an equaliser in the second half, before Matt Groves collected a long ball and beat Warrell with a shot at his near post.
North Leigh: Warrell, Bowles, Organ, Hole, Franklin, Clark, Dutton-Black, Sanders, Taylor, Mills (McCabe 68), Flanagan (Hopkins 86). Subs not used: Saunders, Roberts, Lonsdale.
Attendance: 115.
