Simon Heslop doesn’t need an invitation to shoot – and he says that is exactly what he was given on Saturday.
With the Bradford defence backing off as he picked the ball up near the halfway line, charged forward and fired home the opener.
“The defence just seemed be inviting me to shoot, so I did,” he said.
“The forwards have had a bit of a pop at me for having a few too many shots early on, but thankfully that one went in.
“We have got a lot of competition for places this season, so you know you have to be on top of your game.
“We’ve got a point, but we know it could have been more.”
