JAMES Constable says that with every Oxford United striker finding the net in pre-season, the club’s forwards are buzzing, writes MARK EDWARDS.
Constable and Tom Craddock scored a goal apiece in the final two matches, and last season’s leading goalscorer says that it is always a huge boost for confidence.
“Going into pre-season you want to stay injury-free, get your fitness levels right and, as a striker, get a goal or two,” he said. “We have all done that, which is a good sign.
“We have new faces here, and in terms of morale and building team spirit, pre-season has been one of the best I’ve ever known.
“Now we need to all make sure we carry that into Rotherham.”
