OXFORD City’s Maike Chapel finished fourth in the under 17 women’s heptathlon at the South of England Combined Events Championships.
Chapel scored 3,720 points for her seven events at Tilsley Park, Abingdon.
Her best results came with second places in the javelin (27.28m) and the 800m 2mins 39.26secs.
City’s Danielle Anderson came seventh in the junior open heptathon, with 3,528 points.
She produced the longest javelin throw of the day – 40.01m.
Radley’s Gina Sunderland came sixth in the under 15 girls’ pentathlon with 2,558 points.
Charlotte Smith (Oxford City) was 17th and Kathryn Woodcock (Radley) was 19th.
White Horse Harrier Josephine Harrison clocked 11mins 18.46secs for sixth in the Under 15 South of England 3,000m Championships, also held at Tilsley Park.
