THE Oxfordshire’s Craig Hinton will make his full England debut in the Home Internationals at County Sligo, Ireland from August 10–12.
Hinton, 22, who qualified for the Open at Sandwich, but failed to make the cut, is named in an 11-man squad as England look to retain the trophy.
This week he is playing in the International European Amateur Championship at Halmstad, Sweden.
- CLIFF Beauchamp’s play-off victory propelled North Oxford into round four of the BB&O Hillman Trophy Plate.
North Oxford’s third-round clash with Frilford Heath had finished 3-3 before Beauchamp struck decisively.
- BURFORD’S Amy Gaertner has reached the Skills Challenge national final after triumphing in the south east regional qualifier at Chesfield Downs, near Stevenage.
Gaertner won the girls’ 15-17 years category of the event, which tests juniors’ putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play and full swing shots.
