Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts continued their strong start to the Oxfordshire Under 17 Honey-B Trophy with a comprehensive 67-run victory over Bicester & North Oxford.

Matthew White hit 42 and Joe Burgess 40 as Nondies rattled up 144-6.

White then capped a fine all-round display with 3-22 as the hosts were held to 77-8.

The day’s best bowling display came from Thame’s James Adams against Hors-path.

Thame set 164-4, thanks to skipper Ed Goggs (66) and Will Sutcliffe (43no).

Jack Biggs led Horspath’s reply, keeping them in the hunt with 60.

But Adams was introduced in the 15th over to take 5-6 and wrap up victory for Thame, Horspath finishing short on 150-8.

Another close game saw East Oxford hold out against Oxford.

The game was a triumph of youth over experience as 13-year-old Sulamain Hussein yY for East Oxford with 41, while Oxford’s top scorer was 14-year-old Nick Lancaster with 42.
