OCA League Divisions 4-11

JASON Penn smashed 150 not out as Kilkenny thumped Wolvercote by 127 runs to maintain their Division 6 promotion challenge.

Kilkenny rattled up a massive 292-4, before Duncan Macdonald returned 5-40 as Wolvercote were bowled out for 165.

Stanton Harcourt stayed top with a 96-run win over Dorchester.

Chris Pascoe top-scored with 48 in Stanton’s 211-7, and then Damon Tolley took 5-22 in Dorchester’s 115 all out.

Sharaz Rana’s fine all-round display helped Stanton St John Willows to a 112-run victory over Chalgrove.

Rana scored 91 in Willows’ 232 all out, then claimed 4-21 to help dismiss Chalgrove for 120.

In Division 4, Chipping Norton stayed clear at the top with a nine-wicket win over Fringford.

The visitors were bowled out for 123, and then Ben Tew (39no) and Sam Evans (39) led Chippy to 124-1.

Hailey kept up the pressure with a six-wicket win over Deddington.

Chasing Deddington’s 178 all out, Hailey reached 179-4, Andy Wood hitting 63no and Joel King 52.

In Division 5, Wantage beat Cassington by 85 runs.

Nick Burton hammered 100 to help Wantage to 278-5.

Grant Summersbee then claimed 4-29 in Cassington’s 193 all out.

Division 7 leaders Hanney crashed to a 171-run defeat at Westbury 2nd.

The home side were bowled out for 237 with Charlie Harper hitting 68 and Wayne Sellwood 48.

Sellwood then starred with the ball, taking 5-34 as Hanney crashed to 66 all out.

In Division 8, Oxenford 2nd considated at the top with a 71-run win over Eynsham 2nd.

Batting first, Oxenford rattled up 224-6, Amit Chakrabarti top-scoring with 76.

Manav Bhushan claimed 5-37 as Eynsham fell to 153 all out in reply.

Sunningwell stayed on Oxenford’s tail with an eight-run win in a low-scoring clash at Chadlington 2nd.

Sunningwell were bowled out for 94, only for Chadlington to succumb for 86.

In Division 9, Chinnor bounced back from their huge points deduction with an eight-wicket win over Charlbury 3rd.

Chinnor, who were docked 380 points last week for fielding ineligible players, eased to victory after a Ben Taunton century.

Charlbury posted 176-9, Craig Parker hitting 72 and Richard Nash 53.

But Taunton then slammed 121 not out to see Chinnor to 177-2.

East Oxford 3rd stayed clear at the top with a 151-run win over Kennington 2nd.

Usman Asif hit 106 not out in East Oxford’s 271-7, before dismissing their visitors for 120.

Radley 2nd cruised to a seven-wicket win at Watlington 2nd in Division 10.

Richard Cook took 5-18 in Watlington’s 79 all out, then Radley eased to 80-3.

Chris Buckingham’s 6-28 helped Deddington 2nd to a two-wicket win over Kidlington 2nd.

In Division 11, Garsington 3rd went top as they overcame Kilkenny 2nd by five wickets.

Waqas Khan took 4-47 in Kilkenny’s 143 all out, before Azaz Khan (41) led Garsington to 144-5.
