JAYDEEP Bhatti claimed five wickets to help Thame Town to a seven-wicket victory over Reading in Division 2 West at Church Meadow.
The home side won the toss and inserted Reading.
And it quickly appeared to be a good decision as seamers Sam Lachlan and Will Rooney were into their stride straight away.
Rooney in particular produced a fine opening spell of 3-15 as Reading were reduced to 19-4.
Only an eighth-wicket stand of 48 between Luke Bevan and Ian Slatcher allowed the visitors to reach 131all out as Bhatti claimed 5-43 from 22.2 overs.
Thame lost opener Hirea Desai for a duck, before youngster Charlie Beardall and James Neilson shared 95 for the second wicket.
Neilson fell for a fluent 57, while Beardall finished unbeaten on 41 as Thame cruised home in the 37th over.
