Midfielder Asa Hall scored the winner as Oxford United got their home pre-season friendly programme off to the perfect start with a 1-0 victory against League One MK Dons on Saturday.
The victory extended their unbeaten pre-season run to five matches.
Hall struck after only 18 minutes when he ran onto Alfie Potter's cutback before lashing the ball past Dons keeper Ian McGloughlin.
Sam Baldock and Stephen Gleeson missed chances for MK Dons, but Oxford held on for victory, with Michael Duberry in impressive form on his home debut.
