New Banbury United boss Ady Fuller says he is hopeful that striker Courtenay Herbert will switch to Spencer Stadium.
Fuller, whose side host Herbert’s former club, Northampton at Spencer Stadium, tonight, said: “He said that he would come down and play, have a chat with myself and the chairman (Paul Jones).
“I am more optimistic about getting people in than I was when I first arrived here.
“We’ve got a lot of triallists coming down to tonight’s game, some from Rushden & Diamonds, Northampton and Corby.
“I’m still looking for a centre half and what I would call a midfield ‘digger’, but we’re getting there.”
