Oxfordshire won the inaugural ECB Under 11 girls triangular Twenty20 tournament in Buckinghamshire.

Batting first in the first game against Suffolk, Oxon’s Rachael Potter scored 27 before being run out by a direct hit.

Oxon finished on 77-5.

In Suffolk’s reply, Lucy Thomas removed their opener for a duck, and Oxon never looked back as they restricted their opponents to 57-9 from their 20 overs.

In match two, Bucks batted first and Thomas again got Oxon off to an excellent start, taking a wicket with her first ball.

Bucks were restricted by some tight bowling, including two maidens from Ellie Noble.

Faced with a low target, Oxon batted sensibly to reach the target with five wickets down in the 16th over.
