Headington School’s Simi Fajemisin posted a double success in the English Schools’ Track & Field Cup national final at Tilsley Park, Abingdon.
She was a clear-cut winner of the junior girls’ 100m in 12.3secs from Naomi Kpogho (Brentwood, Essex), who recorded 13.1.
And she also triumphed in the long jump with her leap of 5.03m securing first place ahead of Beaconsfield’s Emma Delgado (4.73m).
Fajemisin was Headington’s leading scorer with 70 points as they finished tenth of the 12 teams with 366.
Katie King Smith was their next best contributor with 41 points after clocking 2mins 42.2secs in the 800m and throwing the javelin 21.08m.
She was followed by Beth Melville with 37 points from her 28.6 in the 200m and 1.23m in the high jump.
Southend High School struck gold with 444, just three points ahead of Portsmouth Grammar School.
