Oxfordshire 50+ suffered only their second ECB 50+ County Championship Group 4 defeat of the season when they lost by two wickets to Warwickshire at Great & Little Tew.
But, having finished their qualifying programme, they should still get through to the last-16 knockout stages.
Oxon, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Wales are vying for the three qualifying spots.
But other counties still have fixtures to complete and Oxon must wait to see if they have made the first knockout round on August 7.
Oxon’s 196-6 against an all-spin attack wasn’t quite enough as former Warwickshire star Asif Din, who scored a century against Sussex in the 1993 NatWest final, led his side towards victory with 56.
Scores: Oxfordshire 50+ 196-6 (45 ovs, M Evans 43, A Manger 41), Warwickshire 50+ 200-8 (43.5 ovs, Asif Din 56, D Gardener 49, R Barker 32, J Goffe 3-37).
