Olly Huggins has incurred the wrath of his father – after hitting his first hole-in-one at the age of just 12.
The 16-handicapper, who attends Matthew Arnold School in Cumnor, achieved the ace while playing in the Famous Grouse Trophy at Carswell.
His three-wood to the 159-yard seventh hole bounced once and landed straight in the hole, much to the annoyance of his dad, Nick.
“I’m 45 and been trying all my life for a hole-in-one, and then he does it at the age of 12,” he joked.
“I was on the next fairway and watched him hit the shot – it bounced and then we couldn’t see it any more.”
Nick added: “He’s been playing golf since he was seven and is getting better and better.
“He plays off 16, and I play off 13 so it won’t be long before he overtakes me – but I can still drive the ball much further than him at the moment which is something I suppose.
