OCA League Divisions 5-11

CASSINGTON picked up only their second win of the season to move off the foot of Division 5.

Danny Roberts (47) and Jason Fuller (41) helped Cassington post 175 all out against Great Horwood 2nd, before Neil Morton claimed 5-58 as Horwood fell for 146.

In Division 6, Dorchester returned to winning ways, crushing Freeland 2nd by eight wickets.

Lawrence Belcher claimed 6-15 to skittle Freeland for 111, and then James Neal’s 67 not out led Dorchester to 117-2.

Stanton Harcourt stayed clear at the top with a 45-run win at Stanton St John Willows.

Having been dismissed for 109, Harcourt’s Alfie Saunders claimed 5-28 and John Woodward 4-18 as Willows were shot out for 64.

Five wickets apiece for Mohammed Iltaf and Romeo Fernandez saw Risinghurst edge past Hook Norton 2nd by ten runs in Division 7.

The home side crawled to 90-9 in their 45 overs, but, on a difficult pitch, Hooky were all out for 80.

Babar Akbar smashed 112 to set up a 233-run win for Oxenford 2nd against Marcham 2nd in Division 8.

Oxenford amassed 303-6, Rick Williamson (55) and Amit Chakrabarti (52) also scoring half-centuries.

Marcham were bowled out for 70 in reply, Williamson taking 3-14.

Jack Todd returned figures of 6-37 to help Sunningwell to an eight-wicket win at home to Steventon.

Steventon were bowled out for 156, despite 98 from Toby Shellard.

Nigel Lovell (79) then led Sunningwell to 157-2.

In Division 9, East Oxford 3rd thumped Chesterton 2nd by 122 runs.

Usman Asif (64) and Bilal Chauhan (55) steered East Oxford to 235-7, which proved beyond Chesterton, who were bowled out for 113.

In Division 10, William Humphreys scored 115 to help Wolvercote 2nd to a 62-run victory at Kidlington 2nd.

Humphreys’ knock saw Wolvercote to 215-9.

Graham Eagle replied with 56 for Kidlington, but they were all out for 153.

Garsington 3rd went top of Division 11 with a 138-run victory over Ducklington 2nd.

Safraz Mohammed hit 52 and Neil Turner 50 in Garsington’s 228-7, before Waqas Khan claimed 4-27 as Ducklington were shot out for 90.
