Stuart Berry captured 5-26, but Cherwell League Division 5 leaders Horspath 2nd were denied victory at Brackley by the home side’s final pair.
Horspath made heavy weather of their 139-8, as Keith Cartwright claimed 5-30. Joe Todd made 34 and Stephen Green 31 not out.
Brackley then struggled even more before closing on 120-9.

Horspath stay top because second-placed Cublington could not get past Challow & Childrey 2nd.
Michael Westland’s imperious 123 not out was well supported by Nick Talbot’s unbeaten 71 and Bill Burton’s 53 as Cublington rattled up 276-3.
Challow replied with 107-3.

Neil Smith’s 7-39 was not quite enough to finish off Banbury 3rd on a frustrating day for Tiddington 2nd.
John Mackie was stranded on 75 not out when Tiddington were all out for 195 in the 50th over.
Opener Adam Wirth (44) put Banbury on the front foot, but Smith’s introduction to the attack reduced the visitors to 169-9.

Didcot were the division’s only winners as they beat Banbury Twenty 2nd by seven wickets.
Matt Jones took 6-23 to send Twenty tumbling to 53 all out inside 20 overs.
Simon Pritchard then hit 33 in the home side’s 54-3, which consumed only 11.2 overs.

Thame Town 2nd dismissed Cropredy 2nd for 174, but were denied victory by a fine spell of 5-41 by Michael Boscott as they fell short on 166-8.
