Cumnor had no answer to left-arm quickie Dan Scott as they succumbed for only 83 at home to Leighton Buzzard Town in Cherwell League Division 1.

Scott plundered 8-28 in helpful conditions, with only Jamie Douglas showing the application required before running out of partners when he had reached 32.

The morning leaders fought back through John Williams (4-27) and Carl Thompson (4-34), but Town scrambled their way to 84-9 to complete an unlikely double over their hosts and knock them off the top.

Oxford Downs also completed the double as they thrashed Bourton Vale with predictable ease to reassert their own title credentials by returning to top spot.

Harry Sutton took 6-13 as Vale were rolled over for 87.

Bourton, who have already announced their intention to quit the league at the end of the season, applied little pressure as Downs cruised to 89-1 through Justin Cantrell (43) and Darryl Woods (34no).

Chris Sandbach them struck 82 from 91 balls and Mark Sheehan 61 from 72 to set up a tense finish, but Sanjay Vinjimoor (4-56) just did enough to restrict Oxford to 237-8.
