OCA League Divisions 1-3

TOM Boardman scored a majestic century to help defending Division 1 champions Westbury to a ten-run win at Horley on Saturday.

Boardman finished unbeaten on 103 as Westbury rattled up 206-8, which proved just beyond the home side.

Jonathan Hart led Horley’s reply with 60, but they finished on 196-9 as Richard Tredwell took 3-42 and Rupert Rowling 3-44.

Minster Lovell’s Dan Brown was 123 not out as his side walloped basement boys Marcham by 174 runs.

Minster amassed 265-3 from their 45 overs, before three wickets apiece for Jack Simpson and Chris Morgan saw Marcham tumbled out for 91.

Leaders Garsington maintained their title bid with a five-wicket win over Great Horwood.

Sam Willett (84) saw Horwood to 180-8, before Garsington reached 182-5 with contributions throughout the order.

Shrivenham stayed in second with a crushing 166-run win over Charlbury.

Shaz Khan (64), Adam Tucker (61) and Conor Taylor (59) took Shrivenham to 252-5, then Charlbury were shot out for 86.

East Oxford and Tetsworth shared the spoils with a win each in a quick double header.

On Saturday, Tetsworth edged out their rivals by three runs, then East Oxford won the return match 24 hours later by 80 runs.

Broughton & North Newington marched on at the top of Division 2 with a four-wicket win at Oxford Caribbean.

Dismissing their hosts for only 103, Broughton reached 105-6 for victory.

Marsh Gibbon stayed second with a two-wicket win at home to Freeland.

Chasing Freeland’s 164-9, Carl Needham (54no) led Marsh Gibbon to 168-8.

Jamie Burns (81) helped Stonesfield to a 39-run win over bottom side Witney Swifts.

Stonesfield rattled up 234-5, before Swifts were restricted to 195-8, Jason Seacole top-scoring with 51.

In Division 3, Chadlington closed the gap on the leaders to a single point as they swept aside Westcott by 89 runs.

Mark Lambert (69no) and Freddie Magee (49) helped Chadlington to 208-7, before Matthew Duester (5-47) and Steve Hunt (4-53) combined to dismiss Westcott for 119.

East & West Hendred saw off West Ilsley by 131 runs.

Ivan Mulford hit 64 and Mark Baring 55 in Hendred’s 281-7.

Baring then claimed 3-33 as Ilsley were dismissed for 150.

Combe brushed aside Win-slow Town by ten wickets.

Winslow scored 181-7 in their 45 overs, Matthew Purssell taking 3-37.

Combe cruised to the target without losing a wicket as Chris Moore hit 86 not out and Charlie Arber 74 not out.

Clifton Hampden edged out East Oxford 2nd by six runs in a thrilling encounter.

An opening stand of 100 between Morley Benson (82) and Mick Richmond saw Clifton to 212-8.

Three wickets apiece for David Skinner, Steve Slater and Alistair Slay then saw the visitors dismissed just short on 206, Shoaib Ahmed scoring 57.
