OXFORD City’s Aaron Burgess stormed to victory at the F1 Chicken Run 10k in Brackley.
The 29-year-old crossed the line in 35mins 21secs to set a new course record for the multi-terrain event, which started in 2010.
Burgess finished 22 seconds clear of second-placed Andy Pacey (Silson Joggers), while Alchester’s Shaun O’Gorman scooped the first veteran prize after crossing the line in 37.38.
O’Gorman’s clubmate Sarah Rendall was first lady home in in 40.10, with Banbury’s Michelle Bartlett clocking 40.52 for second.
- ALCHESTER’S Steve Woodus finished an impressive fourth in the Farnborough 12K, clocking 48mins 50secs.
