RADLEY clinched promotion to the Premier Division of the McCain National Young Athletes League as they won their fourth win out of four at Tilsley Park.

There were many notable performances, such as under 13 girl Freya Rowe finishing second in the 75m in a personal best of 10.9 secs.

Ellen Chung clocked 14.7 for second in the under 15 girls’ 75m hurdles, while Lucy Hooper won bronze in the under 17 girls’ 100m in 13.2 – another personal best.

Lois Waknell won the girls’ athlete-of-the-match award for her grade 1 time of 12.5 secs in the 100m and 25.7 in the 200m.

James Breslin won the boys’ accolade for his 15.80m in the under 15 discus.

Jonathan Hancox (5.08.00 in the under 15 1500m) and Christian von Eitzen (2.04.00 in the 800m) also won awards.

Result: 1 Radley 599pts, 2 Leamington 344, 3 Gloucester 340.

Abingdon Amblers picked up eight victories in the final round of the Division 1 South West series at Watford.

Two of the wins came in the under 17 men’s category from Owen Stepney, who took the 1500m in 4mins 30.7secs and George Towersey, who landed the 3,000m in 10.00.9.

  • BROTHER and sister Ryan and Chloe Craze struck gold for White Horse Harriers in the Fit2Run Junior League at Horspath Road.

Ryan Craze took first place in the both the under 13 boys 100m and 200m, clocking 27.30 in the latter.

Chloe Craze, running in the under 15 girls age group, took top spot in both the 200m and 300m and was third in the 100m.
