Oxfordshire Under 15s saw their ECB County Cup match washed out in Wiltshire after they had put themselves into a very strong position.
Batting first, Oxfordshire, who had walloped Isle of Wight in their opening cup game, were well placed on 113-1 with 22 overs to go.
Joe Barrett was on 66 and skipper Andy Tolson 32 not out when a deluge wiped out any prospect of further play.
They are again in cup action at home to Dorset at Magdalen College School tomorrow (10.45am).
Oxfordshire Under 10s had to settle for a draw in their first full county match of the season against Devon at Moulsford School.
Winning the toss, Oxon put their visitors in to bat first.
Fine bowling from Jack Stacey (3-24) helped to restrict Devon to 154-7 from their 35 overs.
In reply, a fine opening partnership of 53 between Jake Taylor (32no) and Oliver Price (29) got Oxon off to a good start.
But despite that, Oxon could not keep up with the required rate and closed on 114-5.
