THREE rising stars from Oxfordshire have scooped prestigious bursaries from the Jaguar Academy of Sport.
Didcot weightlifter Eddie Chambers, synchronised swimmer Hannah Green, from Eynsham, and rower Jamie Copus, from Wallingford, have all been given financial help.
Chambers, 19, is the reigning British Under 17 & 18 champion at 69kg and is aiming to earn a call-up to the national squad.
Green, 16, is the top-ranked junior in the country and was part of the British junior team for the recent Comen Cup in Belgrade.
And 18-year-old Copus, who went to Abingdon School, won gold at the Coupe De La Jeunesse in the coxless fours last year.
