ABINGDON Amblers finished second with 352 points in their Midland League meeting at Horspath.
Highlights included A- string victories for Peter Barnshaw in the 400m, 110m hurdles and 400m hurdles, Phil Egerton (800m), Oz Ellis (3,000m steeplechase), Jemma Gregory (400m hurdles) and Lauren Barklie (3,000m).
- FOLLOWING on her success at the European Veterans Championships last month, Abingdon Ambler Noel Blatchford won gold in the women’s over 60 category at the British Masters 10K Race Walk Championship at Horspath on Sunday.
She clocked a personal best of 1.03.42.
- ABINGDON’S Sarah Matt-hews was 18th in the 40-44 age group at the Cotswold Women Only Triathlon.
Matthews clocked 1hr 15mins 05secs over the 750m swim, 20km bike ride and 5km run.
Judy Howard was 55th in the super sprint in 1.18.14.
