ETHAN Chapman was the hero for Freeland 2nd as they cruised into the quarter-finals of the Osberton Radiators Cup with a nine-wicket win at Chadlington 2nd.

Chapman’s superb figures of 6-21 helped to restrict the home side to just 98-8 from their 45 overs.

Freeland wasted little time in reaching the target as they raced to 100-1, Ben Wagerfield hitting 39 not out.

Ryan Frost scored 95 not out to help Minster Lovell 2nd to a five-wicket win against Horley 2nd.

Batting first, Horley posted 208-7, Richard Hart hitting 52 and Matthew Burden 50.

Minster timed their run-chase well, and were led home by Frost.

Fifteen-year-old Dale Arm-itage top-scored with 70 to help Great Horwood 2nd to a 57-run win over Hook Norton 2nd.

Horwood made 206 all out, then James Waddington (4-32) helped dismiss Hooky for 149.

Joseph Thomas scored 66 as Combe 2nd beat Tetsworth 2nd by seven wickets.

Thomas had earlier claimed 4-39 in Tetsworth’s 140 all out, before he led Combe to 144-3.

East Oxford 2nd saw off Charlbury 2nd by 30 runs.

Amir Faruq scored 49 in East Oxford’s 159 all out, before Arfan Ahmed (4-29) and Zahid Ali (3-30) combined to dismiss Charlbury for 129.

In the second round of the Keith Crump Centenary Cup, Martin Elliott played a starring role as Chipping Norton 2nd thumped Swinbrook 2nd by ten wickets.

Elliott claimed 7-21 as Swinbrook were skittled out for 60, then Chippy raced to 64-0, Mark Grantham hitting 48 not out.

Divyanand Valsan took 6-15 to inspire Risinghurst 2nd to a three-wicket win against Radley 2nd.

In a low-scoring affair, Radley were shot out for 72.

But Risinghurst laboured to victory at 75-7 as Mark Alder claimed 5-20.

Sam Hope’s magnificent 112 and 71 from Andy Bloomfield helped Britwell Salome 2nd rattle up a formidable 277-8 against East & West Hendred 2nd.

Geoff Long claimed 5-58 for Hendred, who replied with 132 all out as Ashley Bird took 5-44.

Daniel Floyd hit 79 to help Kilkenny 2nd to a 55-run win at Minster Lovell 3rd.

Kilkenny posted 198-3, before Steve Poole (3-8), James Floyd (3-24) and Jeffrey Williams (3-39) helped to dismiss the hosts for 143.

Chesterton 2nd edged past Kennington 2nd by two wickets.

Kennington totalled 164-8, before Ami Mishra hit 61 not out as Chesterton reached 165-8 for victory.
