Oxfordshire's slim hopes of reaching the MCCA Trophy quarter-finals ended after Hertfordshire defeated Dorset by eight wickets.
Having already completed their Group 3 fixtures, Oxon needed Dorset to pip Herts by three runs or less to progress as runners-up via a superior net run rate – unless the match was rained off.
Dorset made 161-7 off 38.1 overs before Herts eased to a revised target of 128 to win under the Duckworth Lewis Method with 14 balls to spare.
