Reigning champion Jason Plato believes he will able to hit back in Oulton Park’s Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship round tomorrow after recent dramas at Donington Park and Thruxton.
The Oxford driver, with an unrivalled six wins around Oulton, arrives at the Cheshire circuit in sixth in the drivers’ standings despite having posted three wins.
A puncture and then a barrel roll at Donington followed by another crash at Thruxton have hampered his bid for a third drivers’ crown.
Plato said: “The Silverline Chevrolet Cruze has the perfect chassis for the demanding, undulating circuit.
“Key to success is qualifying. I should be able to challenge for pole position.”
