Gerard Foley emerged as the Predator Spring Cup champion following the final match at Lower Court Farm, writes ANDY WEBBER.

Third place with 36.12.0 of carp and skimmers on long pole with pellet and paste was enough to give him the title after he had gone neck and neck with Scott Miller (Predator) in a hard-fought campaign.

Eighteen anglers took part in the final match where the wind played havoc with presentation.

Craig Partridge won the finale with 43.4.0 of carp and skimmers on feeder tight to the island with maggot, using pole with pellet and paste.

Matt Ryman (Predator) finished second with a net of carp weighing 38.0.0.

Beehive AC fished their FA and UEFA Cup quarter-finals on a very windy Panshill, where four metres of pole was about the limit for most anglers.

Those with any shelter caught fish straight off from the whistle.

Barry Radford netted 53.10.0 of carp on pole and corn to record his first win with the club.

Second was Chris Dingle with 44.1.0 on the bomb and meat, followed by Shaun Percy, who used pole and maggot for a third-placed 43.12.0. Nineteen fished.
