OXFORDSHIRE Under 13s fell to a four-wicket defeat in their friendly with Dorset at Cokethorpe School.
Having been inserted, Oxon made a fine start as Connor Graney and Kit Morland shared 61 for the first wicket.
Morland’s half century included seven boundaries, and he and Freddie Burton took Oxon to 113-1.
But Dorset eventually restricted them to 182-6.
Oxon took an early wicket in Dorset’s reply as Will Hendy was run out without scoring.
But the visitors produced a steady response with Dominic Clutterbuck leading the way.
Graham Beer was the pick of the Oxon bowlers, but Dorset timed their chase well to win with more than two overs left.
